There are two ways to turn an email into a Manymoon task. They both have advantages and disadvantages.
How does this feature work?
You can forward any of your emails to task@manymoon.com and it will automatically become a private task for you. The subject of the email will become the name of the task, and the body of the email will be added as a comment in the task. The next time you login to Manymoon, the task will appear in your home task list and you can update the task as required (e.g., change the due date, add it to a project, complete it or assign it to someone else). One of the advantages of this method is that any attachments in the original email get turned into document attachments to the task.
From which email account does this feature work with?
This feature is supported with whichever email address you use to login to Manymoon. You can always change which email address is supported by editing the "Primary Email Address" in your profile.
Sometimes the emails I send don't get converted into tasks?
Make sure the following apply:
The Gmail gadget is a plug-in that appears at the bottom of all your Gmail email messages (See below). However, despite its name, the Gmail gadget only works if you are using Gmail from within a Google Apps account. This is a limitation on Google's part that we are urging them to address.
The advantages of the gmail gadget are that you can create projects or tasks, and assign users and a project to a task (see graphic above).
The disadvantages are that you need to manually copy the body of the email into the task comment field, or it will not get carried over (this will be fixed in the near future). The other disadvantage is that email attachments do not get carried over. This is another Google limitation.
