Member, Guest and Admin are the three settings that can be applied to Manymoon users on a paid Manymoon Team. Gold and Platinum allow all three settings, while Silver only allows Member and Admin (no Guest).

These settings do not apply to anyone using a free Manymoon account, unless that account is a member of a paid team.

Project Permissions vs. Team Permissions

This article relates specifically to Team Permissions. Manymoon projects have their own permission settings, which do not interact with Team permission settings. For more on project permissions, please click here

Setting a Team Member's Permissions

To set a Team member's permissions, you must be an administrator of that team.

1. Click on the "Manage" link in the upper right hand corner

2. Select "User Admin"

3. Set team members' permissions using the radio buttons and click "Save User Settings" when you are done.

Understanding Different Team Permission Levels

Guest:

A Guest can take advantages of most of all Manymoon features including:

  • Manage tasks
  • Post links
  • Share documents
  • Join projects
  • Update Status
  • Schedule Events
  • Invite Guests to the Team

A Guest cannot create projects in your team.
Also, Guests can only perform these functions with the Team Members and Guests that they are directly connected to. Guests will not have access to all Team Members. By default, all people invited to your Team will be added as a Guest.

Member:

A Member has all the same capabilities as a Guest, in addition to:

  • Create projects
  • Administer projects (change name, due date, remove project members)
  • Invite Guests to the Team

Members can also view all other Team Members.

Administrator:

An Administrator has the same capabilities as a Member, in addition to:

  • Manage team data.
  • Customize which logo is displayed
  • Bulk import people to the team
  • Remove people from the team
  • Set permissions for people in the team (e.g., upgrade someone from Guest to Member)
  • Set the tagline in each email notification sent from Manymoon to your members and guests

We would like a guest not to be able to invite his own guest. Our guests are our clients and its not optimal to let them invite their own guests. Are you consider a cleaner view/options for the guest status?
